Medical Students
Thank you for visiting our Medical Student page and considering our elective at Jacobi Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center and Jack D. Weiler Emergency Department. Combined the Emergency Departments care for over 250,000 patients annually in New York City. You will be working with some of the best in Emergency Medicine.
The EM rotation is a four to five week elective for fourth year students. Our clerkship allows students to experience the diverse and unique nature of our training program; the demands at the busy urban trauma center and vast pathology of a tertiary care, University hospital. Students will have direct patient care responsibilities from doorway to disposition while being supervised by an energetic and enthusiastic group of attendings and senior residents.
In addition to our bedside teaching, students will get several hours of didactics through conference. Take advantage of this educational opportunity while being mentored by an all EM trained faculty.
